The role

Company Overview:

Zocks is an AI platform transforming how financial advisors work. Starting in the US financial services market, we're building technology that supports advisors across their entire workflow - from sales and meeting preparation to note-taking, follow-ups, scheduling, email, document intelligence, reporting, and integrations with the systems they use every day.

Our goal is to take repetitive, manual work out of the advisor-client relationship and turn conversations, documents, and data into actions automatically. As our platform expands across more workflows, customers, and use cases, we're solving increasingly complex challenges around AI, real-time systems, data, security, integrations, and scale.

Zocks is headquartered in San Francisco, while our entire R&D organization - Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and Infrastructure - is based in Budapest. This means our Budapest teams don't just execute on a product built elsewhere: they're directly responsible for shaping the product, technology, and how we build them as we grow.

Location: Budapest, XI., Science Park (On-site Monday to Thursday, Remote on Fridays)

About the role

We're looking for an AI Automation Intern to work closely with our CTO and Product team on a practical challenge: how can we use AI to make the way we build products faster and smarter?

As Zocks grows, we're exploring new ways to use AI to improve how information flows between teams, reduce manual work, and make our internal processes more efficient.

This isn't a traditional Product Management or Engineering internship. You'll be building AI-powered workflows, agents, and internal tools that help our teams work more efficiently, with direct support from our CTO and Product Managers.

You'll get hands-on experience experimenting with AI in a real product environment, turning ideas into working solutions that people actually use.

What you'll do

Work closely with our CTO and Product Managers to understand how our internal processes work and where AI could make a difference

Identify repetitive tasks, information gaps, and opportunities for automation across Product and business workflows

Build and experiment with AI-powered agents, automations, and internal tools

Connect information and workflows across existing tools and systems

Prototype solutions quickly, test them with real users, and improve them based on feedback

Help turn successful experiments into workflows our teams can actually rely on

What you might work on

Building AI-powered agents and internal tools that help our Product and Business teams work more efficiently

Automating how information is collected, organized, and shared across teams

Experimenting with AI solutions that make product knowledge easier to access and use

Connecting existing tools and systems to create smarter, more automated workflows

Turning repetitive manual processes into scalable, AI-powered solutions

You'll have the opportunity to work on real business challenges, experiment with different approaches, and see your solutions put into practice.

What we're looking for

You don't need years of professional experience, but we do expect you to have some hands-on experience, whether through internships, university projects, or things you've built on your own.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys technology, experiments with new tools, and doesn't wait for an assignment to start building something.

You might be studying Computer Science, Business Informatics, AI, Data, or a similar field – but what you've actually tried and built matters more than the name of your degree.

You'll probably enjoy this role if you:

Like experimenting with AI tools and finding practical ways to use them

Enjoy building things, even if they're small, imperfect, or just for fun

Like understanding how a process works before trying to improve it

Can break ambiguous problems into logical steps and figure things out independently

Enjoy building quick prototypes, testing ideas, and iterating on them

Can understand non-technical people's problems and turn them into practical solutions

Are curious about what AI can already automate today – and where it still falls short

Requirements

Active full-time university student status in Hungary

Ability to work 27+ hours between Monday and Thursday

Some practical experience through previous work, internships, university projects, or personal side projects

Hands-on experience building at least one AI-powered proof of concept, automation, agent, or small application, using tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, n8n, or similar. It doesn't need to be production-ready!

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Fluent Hungarian and good written and spoken English

Availability to work from our Budapest office Monday–Thursday (Science Park is very close to BME)

Why join Zocks?

Zocks is an AI-native company building technology for the US financial advisory industry. Our platform helps financial advisors automate and simplify their daily work, from client meetings and emails to follow-ups, documents, scheduling, and reporting.

Our entire R&D organization – Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and Infrastructure – is based in Budapest, where we build and shape the product and technology behind it.

In this internship, you'll work directly with our CTO and Product team, getting a close look at how an AI product company operates and how product decisions are made.

You won't be given a finished system to maintain. You'll have room to explore, build, test, fail, improve, and see your solutions become part of how the team works every day.

If you're already the person who looks at a repetitive task and thinks "there has to be a way to automate this", we'd love to meet you.
